Fire destroys barn filled with 200 tonnes of hay near Baldock

Fire crews, two from Stevenage and one from Welwyn Garden City, were called to the blaze on Bygrave Road at about 6.20pm.
A jet and hosereel were used to put out the fire, and horses were led to safety in a nearby field.
Crews left the scene at 9.32am yesterday morning, after considerable damping down to make the area safe.

Another fire broke out in Hare Street, near Buntingford, and fire engines from Royston and Stortford attended the scene today (July 9).
