Richard Harring talks about his plans:

Richard Harrington says Let's Make it Happen and Redevelop Watford Junction Station!

The full redevelopment of Watford Junction Station is one of the key priorities for Watford

MP and he has been holding meetings to this aim with Network Rail, landowners, Transport Ministers and London Midland.

"I am pleased that they share my commitment to the station, but this and the Croxley Rail Link have been promised since the ‘70s but we made it happen! Now let’s get the job done!!.

Just this month, the Watford Borough Council have published a draft development brief for the station and the area but since the 1970s there have been several proposals to redevelop the station and the area - this time let's make it happen! Sign the petition here.

The proposals outlined by the Council would also regenerate the wider Watford Junction area, not just the station facilities. New buildings could be up to 20 stories tall. We support many of the proposed changes but as new homes and office space is proposed we don’t want the main objective to be forgotten – improving the passenger experience, station use and safety. With over 1.5 million more journeys taken from the station than five years ago and the Met Line soon to be linked to the Junction, its redevelopment is even more urgent.

Richard Harrington MP will present the petition to Rail Ministers and Network Rail and keep you updated on the campaign.
