Mayor Dorothy stood down and now Peter Taylor has been Elected Mayor of Watford.
born 26 May 1955 is the first directly elected mayor of Watford since May 2002, and was re-elected in 2006, 2010, and 2014.
Thornhill was assistant head teacher at Queens' School in Bushey.
Thornhill was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2011 Birthday Honours.

Mayor of Watford ridiculed after leaflets show her canvassing at her own home
It has emerged that the photographs were taken canvassing at her own front door on Liberal Democrat election leaflets

After a long drawn out court hearing which was lost by residents. The go ahead for new development as part of £1.4million investment has been finished.

Watford Bandstand Officially Opened by Baroness Mayor Dorothy went into Full Swing
The Watford Band played a few tunes, then the Mayor Dorothy gave a speech before introducing Paul Rabbitts who is the Bandstand Geek who then gave his talk.
Milly Soo followed with her Jazz band whilst JiveSwing dancers partied with the audience enjoying the day.
