Police and sniffer dogs have been searching a Hertfordshire farmyard in the hunt for a farmer who has been missing for more than three months.

 

On Wednesday four people Four people arrested on suspicion of his murder, as the investigation continues to trace missing William 'Bill' Taylor from Gosmore, North Herts.

Ex-wife of millionaire farmer and his two sons are among four people quizzed over his murder: Angela Taylor, 52, was quizzed over William Taylor's disappearance, along with sons Michael, 22, and William, 18.

 

The farmer vanished from his £1.2million home in Gosmore, Herts, two days before turning 70.

 

All from Hitchin, were arrested on suspicion of murder, conspiracy to commit murder, arson and conspiracy to commit arson in connection with a vehicle fire at William’s home which was reported to police on 27th May.

 

All four have since been bailed until October 17 while enquiries continue.

 

The farmer vanished from his £1.2million home in Gosmore, Herts, two days before turning 70.

 

The investigation led by the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit.

 

Inquiries are continuing, Officers carried out an "extensive search" of land within a 1.7km (one mile) radius of Mr Taylor's farm.

He was last seen wearing a pale blue shirt, jeans and black wellies, and may have been wearing a navy-blue boiler suit.

 

The family of Bill Taylor have requested that they are not contacted by members of the media.
