Labour leader Mr Corbyn was lending his support to Watford candidate Chris Ostrowski, who is bidding to become the town’s MP on June 8th.
“Are you up for it?” he asked the crowd of several hundred people. “Are you up for the election of 2017? Are you up for rewriting history?”
“The crowds are getting bigger and bigger because something is in the air,”
But Watford, where the Conservative MP has a majority of almost 10,000, may have been chosen for geographic reasons: it is on the way back to his home in Islington, north London. Although in local council elections Libdems had the majority.
6.45pm: Mr Corbyn visits the Conservative-held seat of Harrow East.
