Watford Observer hustings 2017
The delayed Watford Observer hustings for parliamentary candidates is now Tuesday at Watford Grammar School for Boys next week.

 

The event be chaired by Lee Walsingham, chief executive of the Watford and West Herts Chamber of Commerce.

 

Conservative Party candidate Richard Harrington, the Green Party's Alex Murray, Labour's Chris Ostrowski and Liberal Democrat Ian Stotesbury will all be taking questions.

New MEP takes up her Brussels role
Hertfordshire’s new MEP Alex Mayer has taken up her post after being officially sworn in at the European Parliament.


Ms Mayer replaces Richard Howitt who stepped down earlier this year. She said: “Over the coming two years, Labour MEPs will have a crucial role to play in holding the government to account on Brexit.”
